  2. Press Select images, choose your JPG, PNG or WebP photo and pick a transparent or white background.

  3. Press Remove background, then Download. Your photo is deleted as soon as the background is removed.

Is my photo uploaded?

Yes, this tool needs our servers. Your photo is sent over an encrypted connection, processed by Cloudflare’s background remover straight away and never stored. Only the finished image comes back to you.

Why do I need an account?

Removing backgrounds runs on our servers and costs us money, so it needs a free account. That keeps the tool fast and free of abuse.

Is it free?

Free accounts can remove the background from 3 photos a day, 3 files at a time, up to 10 MB each. Premium removes up to 200 photos a day, 10 files at a time, up to 20 MB each.

Which background should I choose?

Transparent gives a PNG you can place on any colour or design. White gives a JPG, which most ID, passport and job application forms ask for.

Can I use it on my phone?

Yes. Log in from the browser on your phone, then choose a photo from your gallery.
